Rachel Bilson's Los Angeles Home

Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen have created quite the love nest. Their aesthetic is very different from mine but I can definitely pull bits of inspiration from their eclectic and colorful space. Now, can they just get married already!?

Gisele Bündchen & Tom Brady's Los Angeles House

Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady's Los Angeles home is a stunner. The garden itself is enough to make me jealous (they grow their own produce) let alone the gorgeous house. My favorite parts: its spaciousness, all the natural light, the loggia, the ceiling beams, and of course Gisele's closet. I'm guessing this house will be taking Pinterest by storm in no time.

Check out my Home Pinterest board for more inspiration.

Vines

Vines add a certain romance to homes and cottages that I just melt over. The examples below speak for themselves. What do you think about the exterior design look?

Palm Beach Paradise

Although I love California, I have a major weak spot for southern beaches. I've spent a lot of time on the beaches of Georgia and experienced the beautiful beaches of the Carolinas and Florida. Let me tell you, nothing is more calming than southern sea grass blowing in the wind. This is perhaps why I can't find anything wrong with this Palm Beach beach cottage. What do you think, are you about ready to plan a trip to the coast of the Southeast?

Amanda Peet's Pad

New Yorker Amanda Peet has become a California convert since setting up roots in her Spanish-style home in the Hollywood Hills. Her relaxed yet vibrant home, built in 1927, features French doors, cypress trees, and a grapefruit orchard.

I think she has transformed the home into one that captures family, childhood fairytales, warmth, and joy.

Reese Is The Word

Five years ago Reese Witherspoon bought a historic ranch in the hills of Ojai. The ranch, built in 1923, sits on seven acres that includes a pool, a barn, guest cottages, and a horse paddock that houses her Friesian horse and her chestnut pony.

Brick and stucco walls, Spanish tiles, exposed beams, extravagant iron light fixtures, and other original architectural elements have been and are well preserved in Reese's ranch. To put her own touches on the property Reese worked with interior designer Kristen Buckingham to incorporate European antiques, rustic accessories, and custom-designed upholstery.

Landscape designer Jay Griffith said "Reese is a Southern belle and wanted something poetic and feminine. I tried to capture the ethereal quality you see in plein-air paintings, the mythical California of Ojai, Bel Air, and Carmel-by-the-Sea." So, he added a gravel driveway and courtyard as well as large patches of fragrant lavender, jasmine, roses, and Mexican sage.

Reese calls the magical home, which serves as her family's weekend and holiday escape, "meditative and restorative." I can see why.

Inside her son's room: a collection of antlers, a Turkish rug, an antique desk, and an Italian mirror.

Inside her daughter's room: a vintage chair, a 1920s chandelier, and an 1830s Swedish table

Custom-made leather benches and 1760s Swedish wing chairs

An antique Belgian table

The wood ceiling, wrought-iron chandelier, and fireplace are original to the house

The living room has a combination of 19th-century and modern pieces

On the terrace: an antique hanging lantern and vintage wicker and iron chairs

I'm absolutely in love with this alcove!

Whiteout

To me, nothing is more peaceful, serene, or comforting than an all white room. My room at school is all white with blue walls and blue accessories to tie it all together. But, I absolutely wouldn't mind retiring everyday in one of these crisp all white spaces.

This bike is my idea of an escape on a beautiful spring day!
