Inspiration: New Year's Eve Party

I'll be in Vail on New Year's Eve with handfuls of friends and hopefully heaps of snow. We're having a big dinner party before we hit the town for the holiday. I'm antsy for the glitz and glam and my sparkly gold Kate Spade dress! The Glitter Guide took my mind off Christmas festivities for a quick minute this week with this inspiration for the perfect New Year's Eve party complete with confetti.

If you know me then you know that I'm addicted to buying greeting cards. I have boxes of them organized by occasion in my desk. This holiday season, I'm loving all the glittery rhymes I've seen gracing festive holiday cards. What Are You Wearing On New Year's Eve?

I am a firm believer that New Year's Eve = an excuse to get dolled up and a little bit wild. Don't hold back when perusing your closet or shopping for the perfect dress or shoe for NYE. I say the bigger, the brighter, and the sparklier, the better!

But this year I am wearing Kate Spade's Twirl Dress. I bought it last January in New York and have been waiting for the right occasion to flaunt it. New Year's Eve feels appropriate!

Glitter Me Good

Last night I went to a delicious sushi birthday dinner for my sister! To celebrate her special night, I stepped out in black sequin shorts because, although I love to wear sequins year-round, I am partial to them around the winter holidays. Sequins can be dressy at a Christmas party or fun and flirty on New Years' Eve. Go ahead and get your glitter on!
