What Are You Wearing On New Year's Eve?

I am a firm believer that New Year's Eve = an excuse to get dolled up and a little bit wild. Don't hold back when perusing your closet or shopping for the perfect dress or shoe for NYE. I say the bigger, the brighter, and the sparklier, the better!

Two years ago I wore Diane Von Furstenberg's Chiffon and Sequin Dress:

Here seen on Leighton Meester in Glamour (Dec. 2009):

But this year I am wearing Kate Spade's Twirl Dress. I bought it last January in New York and have been waiting for the right occasion to flaunt it. New Year's Eve feels appropriate!

Happy last minute New Year's Eve shopping!,,,

Read about the cookie exchange I posted about here on my best friend's blog Dessert! Her blog was my inspiration for starting a blog of my own so I know you will enjoy her sweet posts just as much as I do!,

Beautiful Brentwood

I am heading to Los Angeles in a few days so I wanted to share these photographs of the beautiful house in Brentwood that was featured on the cover of House Beautiful's July/August 2011 issue. Everything about the space is simply divine from the floral front door to the perfect contrast of white and rich dark wood seen throughout the whole house to the colorful patterns displayed on the comfy porch.

Count Your Blessings

Being home and traveling with family and friends for the holidays sure does remind me of how much I have to be thankful for.

White Christmas

I am having a beautiful Christmas in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

We started today off with warm cinnamon rolls and presents before we hit the slopes for a day of skiing and snowboarding. To top everything off we had a huge Christmas dinner complete with turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, and red velvet cake (Thanksgiving all over again!).

It is wonderful to spend the holidays with so much family from all over the country!

Happy winter wonderland and Merry Christmas, snow angeles!
