Lookbook Lust: J. Crew Fall 2012

I'm dying over J. Crew's fall 2012 lookbook. I think these images speak for themselves, don't you? Thank you Jenna Lyons and team for making me fall for fall this year.

P.S. stay tuned for some posts on New York Fashion Week!

Please Put Your Tray Tables And Seat Backs Into Their Upright Position

I'm taking flight this afternoon! Destination: Jackson Hole, WY. I can't wait for the family reunion!

The only sad part about leaving today is that I'm missing Fashion's Night Out in Los Angeles. So, this is for any of you out there that will also be missing the festivities. I guarantee it will make you laugh. No introduction needed here, it's the Man Repeller. Watch here!

Western Woman

I'm packing my bags for a weekend in Wyoming but I have a large whole in my suitcase where I want my Isabel Marant fall 2012 ready-to-wear western inspired pieces to be. Ohhh the agony!

I know, I know this is a silly problem to have and I am only half serious but when you get a glimpse of the collection you'll know why I'm feeling that my wardrobe in Jackson Hole this weekend won't be quite complete.

A Little Bit Country, A Whole Lotta Glam

This is a fast week for me. Starting the week on Tuesday makes the workweek seem to fly by. Add on to that the fact that I leave on Thursday for Jackson Hole, WY for my grandpa's 80th birthday. So, I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row before I hop on a plane for the family reunion.

In the meantime, I'm gaining western Wyoming inspiration from this editorial. I love the mix of western elements (hello cowboy boots!) with glamorous fall florals, radiant reds, smooth merlots, and eye-catching accessories.

The country setting + the hazy lighting = the perfect backdrop for highlighting Bella Heathcote's styled looks.

Endless Summer

Although summer is winding down, for my best friend and me summer is a lifestyle that never ends.

Cheers to hanging onto long summer days!

Holiday Kisses

What a weekend! I'm relaxing right now with my best friend after a busy long weekend. Tomorrow is the beginning of an exciting new opportunity for me so I am grateful for this down time. How are you finishing up the holiday weekend?

I'm signing off on this long weekend with holiday goodnight kisses...

British Invasion

In celebration of my cousin touching down in Los Angeles all the way from London, I am putting the style of British IT girl, Alexa Chung, on display.

From laying poolside in Brentwood to having dinner parties under twinkle lights, we are having quite a lovely time so far.

Porthole: Whitney Port's Marina Digs

Have you ever wondered what Whitney Port is up to post The Hills/The City? Well if you are like me then you keep up with her work and style but, just in case you don't, here is a peak inside her Marina Del Rey world.

How would you describe your personal style and does it ever change from city to city?
"It's a mix of feminine and masculine, print heavy, casual, and textural. When I'm in New York City, it's a little grittier, darker, and chic. When I'm in London, it’s a bit funkier and edgier, and when I'm in L.A. it's more casual and comfortable."

When shopping for clothes, what immediately catches your eye?
"Bright colors, interesting prints, chunky knits, and sequins!"

What are some essential pieces every girl should have in her wardrobe?
"A leather moto-jacket, white men's collared button-down, cute frilly socks for accessorizing, and pointy flats."

Who are your style icons?
"Princess Diana, Katherine Hepburn; and now I love Diane Kruger, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Abby Kershaw."

If you could go back in time, would you do The Hills and The City again?
"Definitely. Though it's caused people to have preconceived notions of me and altered my sense of privacy, it has given me the exposure and the means to have my clothing line, which is exactly what I wanted it to do."

What are your tips for putting together a noteworthy ensemble?
"Step out of your comfort zone, feel sexy, plan ahead, and embrace your personal style."

What motivates you to succeed?
"My love for what I do, and the feeling I get when witnessing someone feel confident and sexy when wearing my clothes."

To read the rest of Whitney's interview head on over here. Thanks Allison for sending me this link!
