Summer Hair

Well it didn't take my mind long to get back on summer mode after yesterday's fall fashion post. My recent urge to rock beachy waves everyday has me thinking more about hair today. There are so many gorgeous and whimsical ways to style hair and I think summer is an excuse to try a look you might not otherwise experiment with on your own.

Feeling Fall

Fall fashion is making a big impression on me this year with matching prints, brocades, embellishments, velvet, a new color palate (i.e. gold, orange, merlot, red, black) and a focus on the hips (i.e. peplums, panniers, and padding).

But, here is a peak at some of my favorite trends...

While I'm excited to transition my wardrobe into the fall season, it will be a slow transition for me. I could not wait for the leaves to change and to start piling on my layers when I was living in Colorado. However, now that I'm living in Santa Monica, I'm digging my heels in a little and hoping that autumn won't sneak up on me too fast to put an end to my long, hot summer days.

Palm Beach Paradise

Although I love California, I have a major weak spot for southern beaches. I've spent a lot of time on the beaches of Georgia and experienced the beautiful beaches of the Carolinas and Florida. Let me tell you, nothing is more calming than southern sea grass blowing in the wind. This is perhaps why I can't find anything wrong with this Palm Beach beach cottage. Weekend Warriors

It was another wonderful weekend of going out in Venice, hunting through the Rose Bowl Flee Market, shopping, and spending time with friends and my beau. The cherry on top of the whole weekend was spending today at the beach swimming, sunning, and playing beach volleyball. What was the highlight of your weekend?

What is on my mind today? Yup, you guessed it... the beach! When the weekend rolls around I can't seem to wrap my brain around anything other than the sun, sand, and surf. Today, I'm craving some tousled locks. Nothing screams summer more than salty skin and wavy hair.

Thursday Organization
